It's here! The application for the 2012 Diocesan Scholarships has arrived. We sincerely apologize for the one day delay! We have also disseminated the PDF to all of the Diocese of Lansing Catholic Schools. The Diocesan Scholarship has been expanded to include grades 6-10 with 6-8th grade students eligible for $750 scholarships and 9-10th grade students eligble for $1,000 scholarships. All scholarships are awarded based on financial need of the applicant family. This scholarship is made possible by the generous support of parishes throughout the Diocese of Lansing that do not have a parish school. GLCEF administers this program on behalf of the Diocese of Lansing.

You can access the PDF of the application by clicking anywhere you see the word "application" highlighted. This form is a state of the art interactive PDF, and may be utilized in several ways:

1). The application may be printed and filled out by hand. 

2). The application may be filled out directly on your computer screen by placing the cursor at the appropriate fields and typing in the information. You can then save it to your computer for your records (If you are running Acrobat 7 or higher) and print it out to sign and mail to PSAS.

In either case, you must send the hard copy of the application with all of the supporting documents and the application fee of $23 no later than March 19, 2012 to:

PDF PRINTING NOTES: You can select which pages you would like to print under the "Print Range" section and preview every page under the "Preview: Composite" section by moving the sliding bar beneath the image. If you have any problems printing the file, please follow the steps below:

 -Click on the File

-Select Print

-At the bottom of the print window there is an option called "Print What":

-Change this option from Document to Document and Comments

-You should see the change in the small print preview screen

-The PDF should print correctly

February 3-5, 2012 - The thirteen Catholic schools in our region, along with GLCEF, will host a booth at the 2012 Women's Expo at the Lansing Center. Volunteers will be on hand to share information about our Catholic schools with attendees.

Ongoing! - The Catholic Education Appeal is the Greater Lansing Catholic Education Foundation's annual fundraising campaign to raise money for its Tuition Assistance Grant program. The campaign includes an in-parish appeal at many of the parishes in our region. Contributions made to the Catholic Education Appeal offer direct support to families struggling to afford a Catholic school education for their children. All grants are need-based and are paid to the families tuition account at their Catholic school. Any family with a child/children attending a Catholic school in the Northwest Region of the Diocese of Lansing is eligible to apply. Grants are $1,000 each and a family may be awarded up to two grants (no more than one per child attending school). To help support the Tuition Assistance Grant program, please consider a gift today!
